HEALTHY URBANISATION

This research into the future healthy urbanisation of the Netherlands was executed for and with the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment.

For this project I was the internal project leader at .FABRIC, responsible for doing research, visualizing data, writing some texts and the coordination with our freelance graphic designer and landscape architect. In this example I researched and mapped the specific criteria of some of the world's most well-known and respected indexes regarding the global quality of life in our cities. All these indexes have slightly different categories and by summing them up, overlaps and similarities appear. Via basic reverse engineering, these overlaps can therefore be considered the core and starting point of what is needed to achieve healthy urbanisation.
The research was published by the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment, turned into a movie by Popov Films and is now part of a lectorship Future Urban Regions at the Dutch Academies of Architecture.
