THE TOWER(S)
→ The Sheds & The Tower(s) is an urban study towards an architectural icon for a developer. What started out as a strategy to keep the industrial sheds of the area by adding program in the gaps between the sheds, turned into a study for a high-rise along the water edge. Various studies were made to break-up the monolith and to try and connect to the urban tissue of the industrial sheds. The final concept was a "twee-onder-een-kap" tower combining a residential and office tower into one stepped building with terraces and outdoor spaces.
For this project I was the project leader for the initial urban research and the design development of the tower(s).
